Every year, in July, the Barrio del Carmen celebrates his management holidays and, in his honor, the Tuna Universitaria del Distrito de Murcia-1912 organizes the International Music Festival, that this year already celebrates his XII edition, in which I have had the honor of being nominated a GRAND MASTER. I am grateful very much for such a distinction.

For me the tuna pear is a youth, happiness, songs and love. I have the experience of what is a Tuna, since newly completed the war of Spain, I was part of the Tuna of Murcia, the current Tuna de Distrito, with which I covered one of the more beautiful and happy regions of our country: Andalusia. I remember it well. We begin our trip in Granada, next, to visit Seville, Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz, Malaga and Almeria.

Who was going to say to me that after so many years, and since it happens in this moment, he would be nominated a GRAND MASTER of the Festival who organizes “My Tuna”, one of the most prestigious of Spain.

The holidays in honor of the boss of the Quarter, the Virgin of Carmen, will be livened up, one more year, with the affectionate sound of these instruments of pulse and spike that so much they fill with enthusiasm to me and thrill.
